Hi Hazel

Thanks for entering our competition! Unfortunately your entry was after the deadline. But the great news is we have a new competition this week to win a selection of cheeses and wine! You just have to describe your perfect Christmas hamper!

Good luck!

You just can't beat Bucks Fizz on Christmas morning. It kick starts the day nicely and really gets you in the mood for singing carols and opening presents.

Every Xmas I get a can of Jack Daniels and coke (the ready made ones you can buy) in my stocking. Invariably I wake up at 5am, wake my sister up, we open our stockings like we're kids again, have our JD and coke and pass out till about 9am. The taste reminds me of xmas excitement!

It's got to be a Snowball on Christmas afternoon. There's no other day of the year you can get away with it, it's a whole meal in a glass!

Start Christmas day with Bucks Fizz and toast then there's nothing better than Chateauneuf-du-Pape to go with Christmas Dinner as we always have venison.

A gin and tonic in a cut glass tumbler that sends shards of light dancing around a cosy room lit by a log fire, golden diamonds of joy reflecting off the Christmas tree, the presents, and the happy, flushed faces of the family, three generations of which sit happily around the fireplace, each with a full glass of their favourite tipple by their side, whether to numb them for the forthcoming festivities or to raise them to a state of giddy playfulness such that they’ll spring from their armchair and start to play charades. Very animatedly. And of course the G & T must be served with a slice and ice. It simply wouldn’t be Christmas without it.
